Honestly this was such a pleasant experience! I was quite surprised, the auto industry can be pretty confusing and misleading, but this place explained everything thoroughly! They even finished my car early. Hermes was a joy to work with and even answered a ton of my non-damage related questions. He really went above and beyond. If I ever need work again, this will be the first place I go. It’s worth leaving SF, and it’s honestly pretty Bart-able.Posted on Google
Sely Lin100 days agoI brought my Acura MDX to them for repair through my insurance company after a hit-and-run. Hermes is so nice and professional. He kept me updated throughout the entire process. After I picked up the car, I noticed a small issue with the driver door. They asked me to bring it right back and fixed it in less than an hour. I wanted to leave a fair and honest review of my experience because there were definitely some positives, but also some issues that were disappointing given the level of service I was expecting. I recently purchased a new luxury vehicle that had a strange odor--somewhere between the typical new-car smell and a cleaning product. I had used another detailer in the past, but this shop came highly recommended by several friends in the automotive industry, so I felt confident giving them a try. Booking was easy, and the staff I interacted with were friendly. I was told the detail manager could speak with me when I dropped the car off, which I appreciated because I wanted to make sure the proper care was being taken with a luxury vehicle. They kept the car for about 24 hours so they could complete the detail and ozone treatment. The car was ready on time, and I have to give them a lot of credit for the ozone treatment--the odor was completely gone. The fabric was also cleaned very well. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the rest of the detail that kept the experience from feeling like the high-end service I was expecting. There was still noticeable dust in various areas, some dirt that had been missed around the trunk and door trim, fingerprints on the stainless-steel surfaces, and some visible spray spots from the cleaner. I also noticed areas where the surfaces appeared to have been wiped down but not thoroughly detailed, particularly in the smaller nooks and crannies. For me, those are the little things that make the difference between a basic cleaning and a truly detailed job. The leather also had a somewhat uneven/splotchy appearance after the conditioning. I actually appreciate the more matte finish they use rather than a shiny one, but I would expect the finish to be very uniform throughout the vehicle. There was also an issue with my steering wheel that was particularly frustrating. When I got home and inspected the car, I noticed a small gash that I had not seen prior to dropping the vehicle off. The shop had taken photos shortly after I dropped the car off, and the imperfection was visible in those photos, so there isn't really a way to definitively establish when or how it happened. I had photos from the previous day showing the steering wheel without the damage, but unfortunately I did not take photos immediately at drop-off. My advice to anyone having their car detailed--especially a newer or luxury vehicle--is to take detailed photos of the interior and exterior immediately before handing over your car. It can save you from being in a difficult he-said/she-said situation. I will say that when I contacted the shop, I was understandably pretty frustrated. Dropping off a new vehicle for 24 hours at a highly recommended detailing business, you expect to pick it up and feel completely confident that it was in good hands. I also expected the detail to be done thoroughly the first time. That said, the staff were responsive, apologized for my experience, and ultimately did not charge me for the detailing service, which I do appreciate. My only additional disappointment was that the resolution felt somewhat transactional. Given the issues I had experienced, I would have appreciated a little more effort to make sure I felt heard and comfortable with the outcome, rather than feeling like the car was simply handed back and the interaction was over. We also had our older vehicle detailed there the following day. Again, the fabric cleaning was excellent, there was no damage, and the staff was responsive. However, I noticed some of the same issues with the hard surfaces and attention to smaller details. Overall, I think this is a nice facility with friendly staff, and they clearly do a very good job with odor removal and fabric cleaning. For me, though, the attention to detail on the hard surfaces and the overall finishing touches did not meet my expectations for a professional detail--particularly on a new luxury vehicle. I also felt that, given how disappointed I was, there could have been a little more effort to make sure I left feeling good about the experience. Would I use them again? Probably not for a standard detail. If I had a significant odor issue, however, I would absolutely consider them for the ozone treatment because that part of the service was excellent. I hope this review is helpful to the business and to future customers. My intention isn't to be unfair or overly critical--just to give an honest account of my experience and the expectations I had going in.Posted on YelpLisa W.64 days agoMy older model Prius needed repair work and I didn't know who to use. A friend recommended Precision Body Shop and I could not be happier! They did beautiful work. Worked with Jenna who answered all of my questions and remained available throughout the process. My car was truly disgusting when I dropped it off, and it felt as close to brand new as it could be afterwards! Plus it smelled amazing, not like those overly strong scented air fresheners, just clean and new. They have competitive pricing and the whole experience was seamless and easy. Drew H.187 days agoThis was my second time bringing my vehicle to Precision Auto Body & Detail. They have always done good work, or so I thought. Overall, the quality of their service and what they guarantee is spot on, but the attention to detail is lacking, heavily. For $400 I should be getting top-notch service. I should be the VIP of your establishment for the day! And I wasn't. Honestly, it's just simple things that shouldn't be overlooked that truly matter. What does a $400 "Complete Auto Detailing" get you? PROS: Exterior - Wash, Dry, Clay Bar, Wax, Protective Sealant, Wheel cleaning, and Tire shine. Your vehicle will glisten almost to perfection in a way that is showroom quality. Interior - As they claim, "a complete shampoo of the interior including the carpets, seats and floormats." And this is where it stops. CONS: Honor the time agreement! I booked my appointment on Tuesday 3/17 for Friday 3/20 and was told to drop my vehicle off between 8 and 8:30am. So I arrived at 815a on the day of my appointment, only to find that the front office door was locked, dark and unoccupied on the inside. It's not a good business practice to tell clients to arrive or be somewhere at a certain time and you, yourself, are not there. Exterior - No attention to detail for the small things. It's easy to spray on car washing foam and then pressure wash it off. But when you overlook the wheel wells that's an issue. The area that a spray wash just doesn't get it. Don't call yourself a "detailing shop" if you're not going to take the time to look at and address the minor details. My vehicle is White, and just like a Black car, it shows the dirt along with everything else. Had you been paying attention, you would have and should have caught this. Don't be afraid to get down on your hands and knees and put some "elbow grease" scrubbing effort into thoroughly cleaning ALL the parts that needed to be cleaned. If there's paint and clearcoat, it shouldn't be overlooked. Interior - While they also clean and wipe the door panels, dashboard or door jambs, this is where they fell short with the quality of service by my standards. My interior gas cap door was not cleaned/wiped. The engine hood was not opened nor was it wiped and cleaned either. (See pictures) It's not like I was asking for a steam cleaning of the engine bay, but nonetheless, it's a door with a crease and hinges. If your claim is "we wipe the door panels and door jambs," under the hood shouldn't have been overlooked. Again, details matter. Honestly, you didn't even try and make an attempt and it shows. The sad thing about this whole process compared to other detail shops is they don't "Deliver" your car to you. They don't walk you out to your vehicle and go over the details of everything that they did and inquire about your level of satisfaction. Because if it's not right they'll fix it. Unfortunately at Precision Auto Body & Detail you just walk in, pay, get your keys back, and then off you go. On to the next one. I've been to other auto detail shops that treat you like royalty from start to finish that are equally comparable in price. Maybe I'll spend the extra $200 somewhere else going forward, that I know for certain won't overlook the simple and minor details.+9Posted on Yelp
